Customized resources, Personal Fundraising program handmade gifts, One on one cooking/ healthy eating training (locally) and more.
How and when did the organization/ business get started?
I started UCAAN because of my own personal battle against the cancer.
What is the company's motto or slogan?
"UCAAN Saves So Much Time For Those Who Have NO Time to Waste!"
What’s one thing you're known for over competitors?
Connecting clients with the help they need, and not turning them away when the ask is hard.
Why did you choose Ventura County for the business location?
Because I live here.
How can our community help?
We'd love help raising awareness to our cause, gaining more monthly donors to grow our organization, so we can help more people. We'd love to start our newest program, UCAAN HEAL (Healthy Eating and Living)
What else do you want our community to know?
As a two time rare terminal cancer survivor, I take my job seriously and do everything I can for others who are fighting. I've been awarded the National Gold Presidential Service Award in 2014 from the US President. We've received a grant from Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills for a unique Preventative Care Dental Program and I've driven cross country 3 times to not only connect with patients we have helped but to connect with hospitals and other organizations, all for the cause.
